Pastor of Korean Ministries,Pastor David Cho, his wife Angela and daughters Sophia and Olivia
In the winter of 2006 about a dozen Korean brothers and sisters in Christ needed a place to meet and worship. By God’s leading and guidance, the door was opened for us to come to Immanuel Baptist Church. From the start, the Korean congregation loved to sing and play musical instruments, and it was through music, choir and orchestra, that the Korean people found connection with the rest of the church.
David states, “One of the barriers to overcome was a language barrier, but as we expand our hearts and visions to see the kingdom of God as a whole, we can build the church of Christ together at Immanuel”.
“When we trust in God’s goodness and love, the clouds of doubt and fear will vanish, and we can face the unknown future together with great confidence and anticipation. God will complete the work he began through the Korean congregation,” says David.
Assistant Pastor of Korean Ministries, Pastor Lee, Jung Hoon,
his wife Hye Jin and sons Ki Suk and Dae Sung
A recent addition to the Korean ministry, Pastor Jung Hoon Lee leads the youth of the Korean fellowship. His vision for this group is to spread Jesus’ love and the power of the Holy Spirit focusing on Jesus’ cross and God’s endless love. His desire is to continue to imitate Jesus’ life and walk with Him on this life’s journey. Though his time in Canada has been limited, he and his family have settled well here and feel blessed to be serving at Immanuel Baptist Church. His wife Hye Jin (Grace) and two sons, Ki Suk (Samuel) and Dae Sung (David), join him in this ministry.
